Jamie Hutt joins Newton Recovery Center as a Case Manager, bringing the insight of someone who has walked the recovery path firsthand.

After 35 years of struggling with alcohol, Jamie found a way forward through residential treatment followed by partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care, an experience that showed how much it matters to have people who genuinely want to see you well. That realization sparked a desire to give back.

Jamie completed the SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) facilitator course and has spent the past 16 months leading SMART Recovery meetings, helping others build practical tools for lasting change. For Jamie, sharing what recovery has taught is one of the most rewarding parts of the work.
